After working for various artists and art spaces, Harup was founded with the need to bring artist together. It's first step have been to connect queer artists in a documentary called The Walk about İstanbul (where Harup is based for now) and queer art in the city. After accepting it's hunger for visual arts, Harup then started a space to do pop-up art projects. The first one in the series is the exhibition, It takes one to know one, where a group of artists are brought together by the traveler's notebooks. Instead of focusing on the notes and drawings, the exhibition revolves around the artists that traveler may have encountered on the journey. In the coming future, Harup as a project space hopes to snowball into a interdisciplinary art initiative for writing and visual arts.
